This work was for the 'Liminal' show at the Sheffield Institute of art and design gallery in Sheffield, December 2008. The making of the work relied on the spatial and temporal investigations I have been conducting in the studio. The physical space of the gallery with the many electrical socket covers. As the shapes resonated with my work, I had to include them in the project. The readymade materials which included floor tiles, carpet tiles, mirrors and glass became minimal interventions and disruptions in the space. The black tape was used to show a displacement of the objects; a movement in space and time and a gestural mark of past and present.
