I think that the most important thing I have found in my studio based practice is the need to problem solve and problem find. How this is maintained as an open system is of continued interest to me. The element of letting go and moving on is as much part of the work as the actual physical work. At the moment I destroy everything I make; sometimes immediately, sometimes after a time. Destruction is usually seen as a negative thing but by the act of destruction (which I have complete control) I am allowing the new to emerge.

All my work currently exists only as photographs and I would never show the photographs as pieces of work. Would I recreate work? No, never. Would I create work based on previous work? Yes, but would hope that a new element would be added to enhance the work.

For me, art is always about a moment which passes as soon as it has been realised.
